Riverside Community College Western Band Association Competition Details:
When we attended the Riverside Community College Show with great aspirations. We went out their with a great attitude and we dedicated our show to our senior trumpet and best friend JUSTIN HERSHEY! When the band performed we did fairly well but the band was not happy. We knew we could have done better and felt disappointed in ourselves. The good news is that we have two more weeks to clean our show to perfection. When awards came around we were nervous and we thought our main competition was Valley View High School. As it turns out we took Sweepstakes and Valley View didn't even come close as you can see on the recap. We also took captions, which means number one band in the category) in General Effect, Visual, Music, and Auxiliary. Then as it turned out our score also beat all AAAA bands that competed later than evening and 1/2 of the AAAAA division. This is quite an accomplishment all together and we learned from this that if we perform our show at great perfection we have a really good shot a state champions!!!
